plated

Closed test

Thank you testers.

Twenty minutes of your time, spread over a week. Here’s exactly what I need you to do, and what you can safely ignore.

What plated is

A food tracker built for people who train.

You log what you eat, and plated lines it up against what your body did afterwards — recovery, sleep, strain — using your WHOOP data. The idea is to stop guessing which meals sit behind your good days.

The half you can’t see

The recovery side will look empty. That’s meant to happen.

The WHOOP / Garmin connection isn’t switched on for testers yet. Don’t report it.

What I need from you is the other half: the logging. If that isn’t quick and accurate, the clever bit never matters.

Getting it

On your phone in two taps.

Tap the link I sent you on the phone you’ll be testing on, accept the invite, then install as normal. Which link you got depends on the phone you told me about.

Apply to be part of the test group

Not had an invite yet? Apply and I’ll email you one. Nothing to pay, ever, during testing.

The run

Six things, in order, first time you open it.

Everyone doing the same six is what makes your feedback worth something. If we all wander off in different directions I learn nothing.

  1. Make an account Real email, one you can get into. Set your calorie and macro targets when it asks.
  2. Log something by searching for it Whatever you last ate. Type the name, pick a match, set the portion, save it.
  3. Scan a barcode Grab anything out of the cupboard. Did it find the right product? Did the numbers match the back of the packet?
  4. Photograph a meal Point the camera at a plate and let it have a go. It’ll guess — check what it guessed before you save.
  5. Change your mind Open one of those entries and edit the amount. Then delete a different one.
  6. Look at your day Go to the day view. Does the total actually reflect what you logged?

After that, just use it for a few days like it’s yours. Breakfast on a rushed morning is where trackers fall over, not in a careful test.

Worth telling me

Anything that broke, lied, or slowed you down.

Not worth reporting

Telling me

Use the form, not WhatsApp.

It asks four quick questions and one of them is your phone model, which I need and will otherwise have to chase you for. Takes thirty seconds, and you can fire off as many as you like.

Report something

Your data

Real account, real food, and you can wipe it.

This isn’t a sandbox. Your data lives on a UK-region database, I’m the only person who can see it, and it’s never sold, shared or used to train anything.

When you’ve had enough, delete the account from Settings inside the app, or from this page . It goes immediately and it doesn’t come back.

Full detail in the privacy policy if you want it. You’re 18+ and testing at your own pace — plated tracks food, it doesn’t give medical or dietary advice.
